The course offers future graduates a solid general education in Physics, integrated with the theories of Education and an insertion in the Teaching of Physics and Science through reflection on its theoretical bases and its exercise. educational. The contents of Physics and Science make up most of the curriculum and cover the study of physical theories, including both their experimental bases and the mathematical instruments that structure them. The history of scientific knowledge and its application to the natural and technological world complement the training of the graduate in Physics.

The teacher training process requires the development of practical activities, alongside theoretical activities, in an integrated manner. These activities include supervised internships that aim to establish a closer link between specific content subjects and professional practice, constituting a unique opportunity to prepare future teachers.

The curriculum of the Degree Course involves a basic schedule of eight semesters for the daytime course, or ten semesters for the night course, with a set of compulsory disciplines that provide basic training in Physics, Teaching Physics and Science and Education, in addition to of some disciplines focused on the reflection of the content of science treated in school (and not only physics), as well as for the elaboration, application and evaluation of didactic materials. In addition, there is a set of disciplines of an interdisciplinary nature that articulate the knowledge of physics with that of other fields of knowledge (biology, human body, environment, astronomy, etc.).
