The Graduate Program in Animal Nutrition and Production (PPGNPA) of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Zootechnics of the University of São Paulo was created in 1978, headquartered in the city of Pirassununga, SP. The PPGNPA has a research infrastructure made up of a group of 22 Laboratories, in addition to the support of facilities and research structures at the USP “Fernando Costa” Campus in Pirassununga. The program has full and specific guidance professors, in addition to guidance collaborators. In 2018, the Program had 17 faculty advisors, 15 of which are permanent and 2 are collaborators. The program subjects are all focused on the areas of basic sciences and sciences applied to the nutrition and production of animals of zootechnical interest.

Our mission is to train highly qualified leaders to work and develop research and teaching activities in the areas of Animal Nutrition and Production, aiming to meet demands in Brazil and abroad. In addition, the objective is to generate and disseminate scientific and technological knowledge, in addition to valuing the ethics, creativity and critical spirit of the faculty and students.
