The Graduate Program in Epidemiology at FSP/USP, Doctoral Course (PPG-Epi), was approved by CAPES in December 2013 with grade 5. It aims to train researchers, professors and professionals with excellence in epidemiology, with the ability to leadership and innovation in the area and whose performance has an impact on public health.

The selection of candidates for the Doctorate in Epidemiology takes place in two stages (see announcement, which contains information on the documents required for registration, procedures and selection criteria). The first stage is eliminatory and consists of analyzing the candidate's curriculum and research project, which must be presented at the time of registration. The project may be written in Portuguese, English or Spanish. Candidates who obtain a score of 70% or more are qualified for the second stage, which consists of an argument.

Candidates residing outside Greater São Paulo will be able to participate in the discussion in the second stage via web conference or Skype.
