General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Minimum average:

  • Bishop: 75%
  • Concordia University: 3.0/4.3
  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0
  • Polytechnique Montréal: 2.75/4.0
  • University of Sherbrooke: 3.0/4.3
  • Laval University: 3.0/4.3
  • Universities of Quebec: 3.2/4.3
Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the Master of Oral Sciences, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold an undergraduate doctoral degree in dentistry from the University of Montreal or a bachelor's degree (or diploma deemed equivalent) in engineering, basic sciences or health sciences: biology, bioinformatics, physiotherapy and any other relevant field
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 (or the equivalent) or the average required by the original university for admission to a 2nd cycle program, if this is higher or the equivalent approved by the dean unless, in the opinion of the dean, experience or studies subsequent to obtaining the undergraduate degree allow it to be concluded that the candidate has aptitude marked for the continuation of 2nd cycle studies
  • having found a research director.
