General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Minimum average:

• Bishop: 75%
• Concordia University: 3.0/4.3
• Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
• HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
• McGill University: 3.0/4.0
• Polytechnique Montréal: 2.75/4.0
• University of Sherbrooke: 3.0/4.3
• Laval University: 3.0/4.3
• Universities of Quebec: 3.2/4.3

To be eligible as a regular student for the M. Sc. (mathematics), the candidate must:

• meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies)
• hold an honors BSc (mathematics), or a joint honors BSc in Mathematics and Economics, Mathematics and Computer Science or Mathematics and Physics, or a bachelor's degree with a major in mathematics, or an undergraduate diploma adequately preparing for the studies they wish to undertake, or proof of training deemed equivalent
• have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent unless the candidate is admitted by virtue of experience subsequent to obtaining the baccalaureate.
