Adapted to the needs, skills and expectations of clinical staff and managers, this program includes 2 profiles: evaluation producer and evaluation user. It is aimed in particular at clinical staff, managers and decision-makers in the health and social services network, as well as people interested in acquiring high-level training in the field.

Learn how to distinguish, define and assess the effectiveness, safety, costs, social, ethical and legal dimensions of technologies. This training allows you to contribute significantly to the evaluation of a technology or an acquisition, reimbursement or dissemination policy based on the evaluation of health technologies. To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the M. Sc. (health technology assessment), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold an undergraduate degree from the University of Montreal or a degree deemed equivalent
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.2 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
  • have relevant work experience
  • at the request of the admissions committee, attend an interview.
