General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Minimum average:

  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0

Conditions specific to this program


To be eligible as a regular student for the master's degree in nutrition with internship or supervised work, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold an undergraduate degree adequately preparing for the studies they wish to undertake, or certify training deemed equivalent, including university level courses in anatomy and physiology, biochemistry and microbiology. The candidate who does not have a bachelor's degree in nutrition or in nutrition and dietetics and whose training in nutrition is considered insufficient, must successfully complete 6 credits of prerequisite undergraduate courses recommended by the graduate studies committee of the Department of Nutrition during the evaluation of the file before being able to register for graduate courses in nutrition. This candidate could take certain graduate courses in nutrition concurrently, on the recommendation of the graduate studies committee.
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
