Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible for the Ph.D. (educational sciences) program, the candidate must:

meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
hold a degree equivalent to a master's degree from the University of Montreal or attest to training deemed equivalent by the dean, on the recommendation of the department director
in exceptional cases, hold a bachelor's degree and, on the recommendation of the department chair, be allowed to enroll in a special doctoral program
have obtained in the 2nd cycle an average of at least 3.5 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the French and English languages as well as any other language, when this is essential to the program in which he wishes to register; the candidate may be asked to take a knowledge test of this language
accept that a professor serves as his research director and guides him in the choice of his courses and in his research work
