To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

  • Bishop: 75%
  • Concordia University: 3.0/4.3
  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0
  • Polytechnique Montréal: 2.75/4.0

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the master's degree in epidemiology, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;
  • hold an undergraduate degree in a field relevant to public health or a degree deemed equivalent;
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle a cumulative average of at least 3.2 out of 4.3 or the equivalent;
  • have successfully completed the undergraduate course “STT 1700 – Introduction to Statistics” or its equivalent over the last 5 years, or have successfully completed the undergraduate course “STT 2974 – Biostatistics and Epidemiology”, or its equivalent before admission.
  • at the request of the admissions committee, appear for an interview
