General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the M. Sc. (nursing), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent, unless the professional experience acquired or the candidate's file demonstrates particular aptitude for pursuing studies in nursing sciences
The candidate must have sufficient knowledge of oral and written French as well as the ability to read English. Most scientific readings in nursing are in English.
