The Doctorate in Information Technology emerged in 2006 as an initiative in the region, whose main purpose is to generate research with social impact, as well as being strategic for industry, government, academia and society, because it allows for competitiveness at the national level. and international. Proof of this, they constitute projects with themes in smart cities, the health sector, manufacturing processes, video game technologies, complex simulations, among others, which are backed by public funds and provide added value to the participating organizations. The program actively participates with different sectors at a national and international level, seeks relevance and presence through a network with prestigious international universities and participates in convergence events of real and current topics of technology for social benefit. The Doctorate in Information Technology offers participants a solid scientific background, the opportunity to carry out formal research, where appropriate, recognized by intellectual property bodies; It proposes collaborative work with student-teacher and research in external institutions, applied to Business Process Analysis, Data Mining, Optimization, Simulation, Distributed Systems, Advanced Interfaces in Virtual Reality, Knowledge Management and the E-World. The program is aligned with the strategic university axes inserted in the Institutional Development Plan and the CUCEA Development Plan, both 2019-2025, VISION 2030, with institutional projects that actively promote the planning and updating of study programs and link quality research, proposes the solution of social problems in the national context; among other priority components of Conacyt, which lead the development of thesis products or research projects where various disciplines converge, the construction of proposals in the innovative and efficient use and implementation of Information Technologies in organizations, society and business.
