The Master's Degree in Educational Research (MIE) belongs to the Department of Studies in Education (DEEDUC), made up of academics with extensive academic experience and inserted in national and international networks, which have an important presence in the Mexican Council for Educational Research (COMIE). ) Mexican Council for Educational Research, the Network of Postgraduate Studies in Education, the Mexican Network of Educational Research Researchers, the Network of Studies on Educational Institutions, RESIEDU and CLACSO, among other organizations.
In October 2013, the Department of Education Studies of the University Center for Social Sciences and Humanities of the University of Guadalajara, headquarters of the postgraduate program: Master in Educational Research, changed its headquarters to the new facilities known as “Campus Belenes”, with 2 newly created buildings, in this new headquarters.  
The new headquarters of the program has 6 classrooms with capacity for 20 people comfortably seated each, with 8 rectangular tables in a “round table” or “seminar” type layout. Likewise, these classrooms are equipped with a projection cannon and retractable screen, a painting board, connection facilities for audio and video equipment, air conditioning, artificial light, natural light and have a computer room for exclusive use by students. It also has 16 classrooms that have capacity for 12 people with furniture arranged as a “meeting room.” The MIE Research Professors have individual cubicles of 10 square meters, or shared with another researcher with a space of 14 square meters. 
The physical headquarters of the MIE has three auditoriums for academic events. The “Fernando Pozos Ponce” Room in Building “A” with a maximum capacity of 100 attendees. A multipurpose auditorium in Building “C” with capacity for 250 and a central Auditorium in the same building “C” with capacity for 350 people.
It also has a documentary center specialized in educational research that currently has more than 36,840 books and subscriptions to more than 130 magazines.  
The program design contains common core subjects and when students enter, they choose a line of training, which is equivalent to a specialty in the curricular structure. This allows the student's specialization to be guaranteed, and is trained in specific content to investigate a certain group of educational problems. In a training line, the sequences of the contents and activities necessary to achieve mastery of said specialization are marked. Therefore, when students are placed in a training line, the supervision of high-level researchers is guaranteed, who have the skills and experience to guarantee quality training.
