Achieving development is a dynamic process that requires a multidimensional and holistic approach. A workforce with strong analytical and context-specific problem-solving skills and a holistic understanding of development policies is imperative for the effective development of a country. Development Studies evolved from the need, which inculcate among graduates a strong analytical ability to dig deeper into a problem and a multidisciplinary lens of problem-solving to design and implement appropriate policies. The Department of Development Studies at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) prepares future leaders in the development sector. Its academic curriculum offers inclusive, human-centric, and experimentation-based knowledge and skills, which equip graduates for various leadership positions in this sector at home and abroad.
