The Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) program at the Department of Architecture, HSTU, is a five-year program that provides a student-friendly and innovative learning environment for aspiring architects. The program is designed to equip students with the competencies necessary for becoming effective professional architects and expose them to various dimensions of architecture, including aesthetic, technical, social, political, ecological, and ethical aspects of the built environment.

The program focuses on developing design fundamentals and basic architectural design in the first year, simple architectural design concerning climate and built environmental design with an integrated building system in the second year, contemporary architectural design with building code, health and wellbeing, building services technology, and ecological architectural design with energy-efficient design in the third year, habitat design through urban and rural studios and public interest architecture in the fourth year, and advanced skill development for professional work and thesis in the fifth year, including internships with approved architectural offices and research projects or design studios.

Design studios are the program's central focus, where students are expected to resolve real-life design problems independently and develop capacities to develop technically and architecturally meaningful designs to communicate their ideas. The program also includes courses, seminars, and workshops that expose students to technology, history, architectural theory, and various other dimensions of architecture.

The Department of Architecture integrates its design studio activities with local communities' spatial and built environmental needs and development, local government projects, and various social, economic, and spatial development agendas of public and private organizations to enrich the practice of architectural design. Additionally, the department initiates an inclusive assemblage of public-student-agents annually through architectural design exhibitions on campus to increase the acceptability of design studio activities in contemporary society and times. The department aims to take place nationally and internationally through education, research, and skill enhancement.
