FAQs

The teachers, laboratory technicians, and support personnel of this department believe in providing all students with a value-based education. Professors are always available to answer students' questions. They assist the students in any way feasible.
Our undergraduate and graduate programs concentrate on many facets of managing soils and landscapes. These cover the principles of biology, chemistry, and physics as well as soil surveying, classification, conservation, pollution control, and fertility management, among other things. However, a lot of the courses emphasize using understanding of soils to solve practical issues, like field trips and recommendations for the crops' fertilizer needs. These are connected to concerns like climate change, ecosystem health, environmental protection, and sustainable agriculture.
We have established laboratory facilities and a research field to conduct fundamental and strategic research on the physical, chemical, and biological processes in soil.
Graduates of MS/Ph.D. degrees can find work in the fertilizer and agrochemical industries, as well as in agriculture, mining, oil and gas, environmental consulting, natural resource management, and other related industries and government organizations. There is a significant possibility of obtaining a position as a professional Soil Scientist at various research organizations located worldwide.
