Conditions specific to this program

1a. Eligibility Requirements for Direct Admission to M.Sc.

To be eligible as a regular student for the M.Sc. (social service), the candidate must:

- meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;

- demonstrate good knowledge of French and English

- satisfy one of the following conditions:

  • either hold a B.Sc. (social service) or demonstrate training deemed equivalent with an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent;
  • either hold a B.Sc. (social service) with an average of less than 3.0 and have completed 21 credits with a minimum average of 3.5 in a 2nd cycle program ( example: DESS)
  • or have successfully completed preparatory schooling with a minimum average of 3.0 out of 4.3.
1b. Eligibility requirements for admission to the preparatory year

To be eligible as a regular student for the preparatory year, the candidate must:

- meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies;

- demonstrate good knowledge of French and English

- satisfy one of the following conditions:

  • either hold an undergraduate degree in a related discipline with an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent;
  • or hold an undergraduate degree in a related discipline with an average of less than 3.0 and have completed 21 credits with a minimum average of 3.5 in a graduate program ( example: DESS).
