General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a master's student in education, preschool education and primary education option, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (RPESP);
  • hold an undergraduate degree that adequately prepares them for the studies they wish to undertake or provide evidence of training deemed equivalent;
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent in the case of a baccalaureate obtained by accumulation;
  • successfully complete the complementary refresher course DID1000T – Basic mathematics in primary school. The DID1000T course must be successfully completed at the end of the first year. A second failure in this course results in termination of application.
  • pass the complementary course DID2000 – Oral. The DID2000 course must be successfully completed at the end of the second year. A second failure in this course results in termination of application.
