General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section II) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

  • Bishop: 75%
  • Concordia University: 3.0/4.3
  • Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
  • HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
  • McGill University: 3.0/4.0
  • Polytechnique Montréal: 2.75/4.0
  • University of Sherbrooke: 3.0/4.3
  • Laval University: 3.0/4.3
  • Universities of Quebec: 3.2/4.3
Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student at the LL. M. (law), the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions, namely, and unless otherwise indicated in the conditions specific to the option:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section II) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • have obtained, in the 1st cycle, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
The candidate may be asked to attend an interview if deemed necessary.

The dean is not required to admit all applicants who meet the eligibility requirements.
