To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.3 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Degree accepted: Masters, Masters; duration: 2 years

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular Ph.D. (geography) student, the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI of the Educational Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a master's degree in a relevant field, or demonstrate training deemed equivalent
  • have obtained, in the 2nd cycle, an average of at least 3.3 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
The candidate must have a good knowledge of French and English. Where applicable, he must also demonstrate sufficient knowledge of any other language deemed necessary for the pursuit of his research.
