General eligibility conditions

To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Minimum average:

• Concordia University: 3.0/4.3
• Higher Technology School: 3.0/4.3
• HEC Montreal: 3.0/4.3
• McGill University: 3.0/4.0
• Polytechnique Montréal: 2.75/4.0

• Universities of Quebec: 3.2/4.3

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the MA (practical theology), the candidate must:

• meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
• hold a specialized bachelor's degree in religious studies, religious studies or theology, or a bachelor's degree with major or minor in religious studies, religious studies or theology, or demonstrate training deemed equivalent
• have obtained, in the 1st cycle or the 2nd cycle microprogram, an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent.

The candidate must have a good knowledge of the French and English languages, as well as any other language, ancient or modern, deemed necessary for the pursuit of their research.
