Nutritional Sciences are an area with a significant impact on human health. A healthy diet, as a lifestyle, is essential for health promotion and disease prevention. The evidence demonstrating a relationship between diet, food, and nutritional imbalances and some chronic diseases with higher morbidity and mortality rates, such as cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and some types of cancer, is increasingly well known and relevant. The Degree in Nutritional Sciences of Lusófona University, contributes to the training of Nutritionists with the latest scientific knowledge, enabling them to professional practice in all areas of human food and nutrition. The Degree in Nutritional Sciences at Lusófona University is distinguished by the strong component of clinical teaching, since students have the opportunity to witness the clinical practice of a Nutritionist in a real environment early in their learning, due to the NutriAção program. It is also a course that excels in its practice and scientific evidence since students develop several research projects in their areas of interest of nutrition and food. Students are encouraged to publish their projects so that they have contact with all aspects of scientific research. Students also participate actively in the research projects being carried out at the research center, either as volunteers, collaborating members, or interns.
