Sociomuseology PhD

To create of group of teachers-researchers able to develop museologic actions with a high quality level; to form specialists in museology; to promote the development of post-graduate studies, promoting the development of research in Museology and Sociomuseology; to encourage and continue the process of the affirmation of Museology as an applied disciple area, elevating the patterns of quality while expanding on the research studies in the field. To deepen the legal and operational knowledge related to the implementation of cultural policies that value the museologic action. To better the articulation between national policies in the area of Museology and Heritage with a more vast context of European policies To train human resources for the investigation and practices required by museums, and to Crete knowledge and its transmission, thus contributing for the up-keeping and valorisation of the heritage.
