The basic knowledge of the Graduate in Industrial Electronic and Automatic Engineering can be summarized in the following points:
  • Design and development of control and automation systems.
  • Design and development of industrial electronic systems.
  • Design and development of robotic systems.
  • Design and development in power electronics, generation and transport of electrical energy.
  • Digitization of production processes: Industry 4. 0
  • Applications of electronic systems to fields such as medicine, aerospace, transportation, renewable energies and the environment.

The study plan has been structured following the guidelines of Royal Decree 1393/2007, which establishes the organization of official university education, and also following the Ministerial Order CIN/351/2009, which establishes the requirements for the verification of official titles that qualify for the exercise of the profession of Industrial Technical Engineer. The following subjects are addressed in the study plan:


  • Specific thematic areas of Automatic and Industrial Electronic Engineering: Analog and Digital Electronics, Microprocessors, Control Systems, Automatic Regulation, Industrial Automation, System Modeling and Simulation, Robotics, Industrial Computing, Communications, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Machines, Mechatronics.
  • Thematic areas common to the Industrial Branch: Materials Science and Engineering, Manufacturing Technologies; Fluid Engineering; Environment; Projects, and Thermal Engineering.

  • Thematic areas of Basic Training: Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Business, Graphic Expression, Physics and Computer Science
