They also ensure that engineering structures are designed for long-term stability and safety, taking geological conditions and hazards into account. This join initiative from the Department of Earth Sciences and the Department of Civil Engineering will focus on one of the three specialized learning streams: geoenvironmental, geotechnical, and mineral resources.
