Physics is the most advanced discipline among the physical sciences. That is why physics is usually used as a model for scientific methods and as an example for other quantitative sciences. Physicists work in several fields. A graduate degree in physics opens the door to work as a creative researcher in industry or as a researcher and teacher in colleges and universities. The study plan for the physics branch aims to provide students with the following:
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the basics of physics based on an appropriate mathematical base.
  • Experience in solving physics problems, whether in the classroom or in educational attic laboratories.
  • n-depth knowledge in the use of laboratory devices in obtaining data, applying mathematical methods and using computing to draw conclusions for data recorded in the field of physics.
  • In addition to developing mental skills, in-depth thinking and modeling in dealing with data and presenting them in the form of written reports or through oral and presentation presentation.

Graduate fields Graduates of the physics branch are expected to employ their knowledge and experience in the fields of petrochemical industry, in some fields of mechanical and civil engineering industries, in the field of communications, gas and energy industries, as well as in hospitals, food and canning industries, as well as working as supervisors in many fields and government and industrial departments.

Fields of work: - The Higher Degree in Physics opens the field to work as a creative researcher in industry or as a researcher and teacher in colleges and universities. - Work in scientific laboratories and companies related to scientific equipment and materials.

Tuition fees for science subjects are OMR 107 per Credit Hour ($280 per credit/hr and for art subjects are OMR 85 per Credit Hour ($220 per credit/hr). A minimum score of 65% in secondary level certification is required for undergraduate courses.
