The Master of Science in Computer Science program aims to: 1. Provide the student with the latest knowledge in computer science and related fields and eliminate shortcomings in this regard. 2. Help the student develop his quantitative skills in the system analysis of complex problems 3. Encourage and enhance critical thinking on the part of the student regarding the unseen problem. 4. Prepare graduates to follow appropriate practices within a professional, legal and ethical framework. 5. Prepare graduates to recognize the need and ability to pursue lifelong learning. 6. Expand the student's practical experience through research work extending over a year, at least. 7. Enable the student to present research and communicate its results effectively, in the form of scientific research reports and articles. 8. Develop a strong research culture through research groups and thus prepare graduates to work both independently and as leaders or team members. 9. Prepare graduates to occupy professional positions in the field of computer science fields, or to be able to pursue more

UoN is comprised of four colleges that offer a wide array of programmes designed according to international standards. In addition to supporting burgeoning sectors in the regional economy – such as architecture, education, international trade and finance and petroleum engineering – they promote the values of academic excellence and leadership through research and technology, quality management, and sustainable development.

Subjects:
Tuition fees for science subjects are OMR 107 per Credit Hour ($280 per credit/hr and for art subjects are OMR 85 per Credit Hour ($220 per credit/hr). A minimum score of 65% in secondary level certification is required for undergraduate courses.
