About the nature of the B.Ed. in Mathematics program:
The program provides an academic environment for research and learning, and helps students develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly and critically about complex issues and communicate results accurately. The department applies these components of the university's mission by achieving the following objectives:
1. Offering a large and diverse number of courses that allow each student to develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly. 2. Utilizing computer algebraic systems whenever possible to enhance students' problem-solving skills. 3. Enhancing the appreciation of the aesthetic aspects of mathematical thinking within each student. 4. Emphasizing the problem-solving strategy in all courses. 5. Developing each student's abilities for independent learning. 6. Enhancing the development of the student's communication skills. 7. Developing programs that meet the needs of the labor market and at the same time keep pace with international standards. 8. Offering courses in other fields and specializations for students to diversify graduates' skills. 9. Expanding job opportunities for graduates by allowing students to choose a minor accredited by the university. 10. Developing training programs for students.

Tuition fees for science subjects are OMR 107 per Credit Hour ($280 per credit/hr and for art subjects are OMR 85 per Credit Hour ($220 per credit/hr). A minimum score of 65% in secondary level certification is required for undergraduate courses.
