About the nature of the B.Sc. in Mathematics program:
The mathematics program creates an academic climate for research and learning, helping the student develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly and critically about complex problems and communicate results accurately. The Division applies these components of the university's mission by achieving the following objectives:
1. Offering a large and varied number of courses that allow each student to develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly. 2. Make use of algebraic computer systems whenever possible to enhance students' problem-solving skills. 3. Enhance the appreciation of the aesthetic aspects of the mathematical thinking within each student. 4. Emphasize the strategy of solving problems in all decisions. 5. Develop the capabilities of each student for independent education. 6. Promote the development of the student's communication skills. 7. Develop programs that meet the needs of the labor market and at the same time keep pace with international standards. 8. Offering courses in other fields and disciplines for students to diversify the skills of graduates. 9. Expanding job opportunities for graduates by allowing students to choose a minor approved by the university. 10. Developing training programs for students.

Tuition fees for science subjects are OMR 107 per Credit Hour ($280 per credit/hr and for art subjects are OMR 85 per Credit Hour ($220 per credit/hr). A minimum score of 65% in secondary level certification is required for undergraduate courses.
