About the nature of the B.Sc. in Mathematics program: The mathematics program creates an academic climate for research and learning, helping the student develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly and critically about complex problems and communicate results accurately. The Division applies these components of the university's mission by achieving the following objectives: 1. Offering a large and varied number of courses that allow each student to develop quantitative skills and the ability to think clearly. 2.
