The In silico drug design – Modeling of macromolecules or “Computer-assisted therapeutic innovation at the Chemistry-Biology interface” course of the Bio-Informatics master's degree is for professional or research purposes, unique in France and in Europe. It offers training in the computational approaches necessary for the search for new therapeutic molecules.

At the interface of structural chemistry and biochemistry and in silico approaches, the “In silico Drug Design-Macromolecules Modeling” or ISDD-Macromolecules course meets a demand from the private sector (pharmaceutical companies) and the academic sector to train professionals in the field of therapeutic innovation and computer-assisted research into new molecules. This area of research is booming in Europe and around the world. This course is centered on the knowledge of biological macromolecules, it trains students in in silico approaches, in particular in structural bioinformatics, in the modeling of three-dimensional structures, in the computational modeling of their interactions with drug molecules, in biostatistics and to data analysis, structural bioinformatics and docking and screening software. The first three semesters take place at the University of Paris. The initiation to research, private or academic, is encouraged abroad. This course offers students the possibility of obtaining a Franco-Russian double degree.
