The LLCER Master's degree in "Chinese Studies" is intended to train high-level specialists: researchers, experts, actors in professional life, with a solid knowledge of the language (HSK level 3 or 4) and Chinese civilization.
The LLCER Master's degree in "Chinese Studies" is intended to train high-level specialists: researchers, experts, actors in professional life, with a solid knowledge of the language (HSK level 3 or 4) and Chinese civilization.
It brings together a multidisciplinary educational team at the highest level in this field, made up of more than 30 teacher-researchers from the University of Paris and the Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO).
The student will be able to benefit from long stays in a Chinese or Taiwanese partner university allowing him to acquire solid experience in the field.
The training will enable the student to acquire a high level of qualification in the chosen disciplinary field, in-depth knowledge of an aspect of Chinese civilization or society, and to integrate into the research teams of three major laboratories: the Center for Research in Civilizations of East Asia CRCAO (University of Paris, CNRS, Collège de France, EPHE), the Center for Studies in Social Sciences on the African, American and Asian Worlds CESSMA and the ASIAs (INALCO).
Depending on his personal project, he may move in the second year towards a "research" sector or a "professionalizing" sector.
In addition to this training, our UFR offers a Chinese course in the MEEF master's degree (Master in Teaching, Education and Training) at INSPE in Paris. In partnership with the University of Paris and Inalco. It combines common lessons with the “Research” Masters and specific lessons coupled with internships carried out in the first and second year of the Masters and prepares for the CAPES and CAFEP competitions.
This academic program is part of the Graduate School East Asian Studies of Université Paris Cité, combining master's and doctoral courses with cutting-edge research laboratories. The Graduate School's goal is to provide students with dual expertise by helping them achieve an excellent level in oriental languages and in the humanities and social sciences.
