The following goals in the field of education and upbringing personality are being implemented in the "Software Engineering" bachelor's degree (sp.code-710400):
- - training of qualified specialists capable to apply the basic methods and tools of computer science in algorithms and software development, to understand life cycle models, problems of forming a system of requirements, design, construction and testing of a software product through the formation of result-oriented professional competencies. As well as the formation of students' social and personal qualities: determination to positive changes, self-organization, hard work, taking responsibility, communication skills, tolerance, improvement of general culture, etc.
A student who is getting Bachelors degree in Software engineering is trained in "Software development Technology" program.
The industrial production of software for information and computing systems for various purposes is the field of professional activity of graduates.
The following disciplines are presented with options to choose in "Software engineering" studies:

• participation in the creation of software components (coding, debugging, unit and integration testing);
• contribution to the integration of software product components;
• assistance in the development of a test environment, creation of test scenarios;
• participation in the development and design of draft, technical and working design documentation.
2) In production and technological activities:
• development and application of computer-aided design, development, testing and maintenance of software.
• mastering and applying methods and tools for managing engineering activities and software lifecycle processes;
• the use of standard methods for monitoring, evaluating and ensuring the quality of software products.
• interaction with the customer during the implementation of the software project;
• participation in software development processes;
• assistance in the creation of technical documentation based on the results of the work.
3) In organizational and managing activities:
• participation in the preparation of technical documentation (work schedules, instructions, plans, estimates, applications for materials, equipment, software) and established reporting according to approved forms;
• planning and organizing your own schedule;
• planning and coordination of work on setting up and maintaining a software product;
• participation in the organization of the work of small teams of performers of the program project;
• assistance in conducting a feasibility study of software projects.
4) In service and operational activities:
• participation in the commissioning of software (installation, parameter setting, adaptation, administration);
• preventive maintenance of the software product during operation;
• training and advising users on how to work with the software system.
