Anthropologists study humans, both past and present, as biological, cultural, and social beings. In this program, students will explore three central subfields – sociocultural anthropology, archaeology, and biological anthropology. Students will also gain access to the University’s expanded lab facility that includes a vast collection of human, hominid, and primate teaching specimens. Laboratory research and field activities are integrated into this program. Students may volunteer in faculty research studies and with partnering heritage organizations and not-for-profit groups. They can also participate in field trips, academic conferences, and discussion groups hosted by the Anthropology student society.
