What is gender and how has its definition changed over time and place? How has gender been represented through literature and other media? And how exactly do we bring about change in gender relations in the world? The Gender Studies program on UNB’s Saint John campus studies concepts such as feminism, masculinity, queer studies, and transgender studies. This program will explore complex gender issues from multiple fields of study and perspectives. Each student will undertake an independent project in Year 4.
