At the heart of the Politics program at UNB’s Saint John campus is the discussion of political power, institutions, and practice. Students will be examining how and why the government makes its decisions and how those decisions affect our social, cultural, legal, and economic landscape. There are four major fields of study explored in this program, including Canadian Politics, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Political Theory. This program is taught by experts in the field, those who have experience researching everything from violence in Mexico to sex work in Canada to the dynamics of cabinet decision-making. Students will have the opportunities to participate in community-based projects and research.
