The DATK first level study program is carried out in accordance with the Albanian legal framework for higher education. The construction of this framework is entirely in accordance with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) which aims to unify the European Higher Education System and helps students who move between different countries to have the academic qualifications or accepted study periods. According to this approach, the first level Study Program at DATK in coherence with the regulation of UT and the regulation of DAKT itself is organized in 3 years or 6 academic semesters. In each academic year, the student receives 60 (ETC) credits and at the end of this study cycle completes 180 (ETC) credits. Beyond the interior in the professional profile, the study program offers students the opportunity to cultivate knowledge in theoretical studies with the aim of approaching critical thinking and independent work. This knowledge, as everywhere today in the best academic environments, is valued not only as a good strategy to form professional and educational judgment, but at the same time they enable students to understand the importance of the formulation and treatment of an issue or project even in Labor market. From the first year of studies, students receive the appropriate knowledge that guides them in the use of habits in academic writing, the rules of honesty and ethics in writing, citation systems and problems with plagiarism. In the subsequent years of study, the course assignments are a requirement of every subject that has a particular focus on theoretical issues. Students are also offered assistance from academic staff and guidance in case of coursework projects or degree theses.
