This master programme provides a comprehensive approach regarding the functioning of institutions and governance in Europe and in the EU. Its curricula offers a broad specter of main concepts on how the policy framework is built and developed throughout Europe. Focusing on building and strengthening academic and professional capacities of participants in the area of European studies, the programme helps to better understand and use the knowledge on the European Union and its institutional set-up. The main formative objectives of  study program Master of Science in Policies and Governance in Europe aim to:
a) Equip graduates with in-depth knowledge of European Union policies and governance, as well as interweave their theoretical and methodological academic background with practice and field expertise, and develop teamwork skills;
b) Encourage and enable students to form their own views and generate analysis on important issues of the European integration processes;
c) Provide knowledge on the creation of the European Union, the policies and evolution of European institutions and the complexity and dynamics affecting the EU integration process.
ç) Equip the graduates with specific scientific and methodological knowledge related to the policies and governance of the European Union and the relevant disciplines, necessary for the training of the graduates to carry out independent research work, as well as in the presentation and publication of their achievements;
d) Prepare professionally qualified researchers with contemporary knowledge on EU policies and governance at several levels, as well as to involve students in scientific activities developed/organised by ISE.
This master programme is suitable for candidates who seek to expand and deepen their skills and knowledge in the area of European studies, with a particular focus on the European Union and its functioning. The language of this program is English.
