Trade Economics

The purpose of the educational program: training of highly qualified specialists who possess modern economic thinking, theoretical knowledge and applied skills in managing business processes of a trading entity, capable of solving research and practical tasks using tools and an algorithm for making managerial decisions for further employment; preparation for successful assimilation of programs of higher degrees of education. The program is based on the conceptual theoretical foundations of the leading scientific economic schools and the generalization of practical experience in the field of trade economics, forms relevant competences for the labor market, which provide opportunities for the development of a professional and scientific career. It involves the study of relevant professionally oriented disciplines: "Trade Economics", "Commodity science", "Trade Marketing", "Trade Organization", "Accounting in Trade", "International Trade", "Pricing", as well as the expansion of the mandatory component due to current professionally oriented disciplines ("E-trade", " Digital technologies in business", "Sales management and merchandising", "Consumer Behavior" , "Franchise", "Logistics", " Category management", etc.), which ensure the formation of abilities and skills for work in the field of trade. The training plans provide for practical training at the leading trade enterprises of Ukraine. A specialist with a higher education degree "bachelor" in trade economics according to the National Classifier of Professions DK 003:2010 can hold the following primary positions: economist, planning economist, logistics economist, sales economist, business efficiency specialist, international economist trade, pricing economist, accounting and business analysis economist, commodity market research analyst, merchant, manager (manager) in wholesale trade, manager (manager) in retail trade, logistics manager (manager), marketing manager (manager), supply manager (manager), economic advisor, consultant on economic issues, columnist on economic issues, chief economist, director of economics, head of the planning and economic department, director (head) of a small trading company, store manager. It is possible to continue studying for the second level higher education - master's degree in business and management. Integral competence consists in the ability to solve complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the economic sphere, which are characterized by the complexity and uncertainty of conditions, which involves the application of theories and methods of economic science.
