The program of MSHRM was launched in 2014 with the overall objective of developing a broader understanding of HR through an in-depth curriculum targeted at developing generalists and specialist with a skill required by the industry. This program also focusses on developing theoretically and conceptually strong graduates who can apply knowledge to resolve industry problems and can communicate effectively while working in the corporate sector and academia.  Students are particularly groomed with the capability to build and lead teams and to compare local and global contextual issues. This program also produces potential researchers who can act as an interface between the industry and the academia and can generate industry grounded and relevant research.

 

The curriculum is aligned with that of SHRM and is a blend of practice in the form of industry practicum and research in form of thesis. The courses offered in the degree program are not only in line with leading international universities but also conform to all standards of degree programs being conducted at other constituent colleges of NUST. The program consists of 36 credit hours where students spend a minimum of 3 semesters / 1.5 years in coursework phase. The maximum time allowed for the program is 4 years. Graduates from this program are serving in diverse fields including Telecom, Government, Universities, Think Tanks, NGOs, and MNCs. Many students have produced research papers for prestigious local and international conferences.

You can apply by submitting an online application @ http://pgadmissions.nust.edu.pk
a. Sixteen years of schooling or 4 years education after HSSC/A’ Level with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 OR 60% marks. Percentage will only be considered if CGPA is not mentioned on the transcript. b. Masters / bachelors in any field of Business or Management, Public Administration, Commerce, Economics, Mass Communication, Engineering or IT from an HEC recognized institution or with equivalence granted by HEC. c. GAT (General) conducted by NTS with at least 50 accumulative test score, or Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) conducted by HEC with at least 50 accumulative test score or GMAT conducted by GMAC, USA with minimum 50 percentile score.

You are not allowed to make any type of change once the online admission form is submitted
As per HEC guidelines, students from non-business background will be required to take additional courses related to business / management to meet any assessed deficiency (up to 30 CHs) of such courses in their bachelor / master’s degree
