Read more necessary to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of robotics and artificial intelligence. This interdisciplinary program integrates theoretical foundations with practical applications, fostering innovation and creativity in addressing complex challenges in robotics and AI. Programme objective The course offers to learn and use various tools for analysis and synthesis of digital control systems. A more advanced discussion of digital control systems, introducing modern control techniques, and implementation issues will be discussed. In particular, students who successfully complete this course will have exposure to digital control design, using different methods (e.g. state-space controller, stochastic controller, etc). They will have a basic understanding of various factors which limit the achievable control system performance (e.g. time delays, non minimum phase zeros, etc.). Students will also get experience in several lab implementations of control systems using MATLAB/SIMULINK. 5. Following objectives are to be achieved:- a. Equip the students with knowledge of digital control systems. b. Develop understanding of A/D and D/A conversions and Z-transform. c. Study stability analysis of digital control systems. d. Develop understanding of digital controllers’ implementation and related issues. e. To help the students understand and practice the modeling, simulation and implementation of a physical dynamic system using computer control systems. f. Provide hand-on experience/ practical realization of digital controllers using Matlab/Simulink. k. Conduct advanced research in the field of digital control system design at MSc/PhD level Read less
