The PhD study program in "European Studies" is a program of the third cycle of studies, doctoral studies, according to level 8 of the Albanian Framework of Qualifications. This PhD program is offered by ISE (both departments - the Department "EU Legislation and Policies" and the Department "Diplomacy and International Relations of the EU"). It is designed to develop academic skills, in-depth knowledge of current developments in the field of European integration, integration processes and policies. This doctoral program is offered in three subfields: "European Legislation and Institutions"; "EU Diplomacy and International Relations";  "Politics and governance in Europe".

To have obtained the degree ""Master of Science"" or ""Master of Arts"", or an equivalent degree obtained abroad and recognized by the competent authorities, in the same or similar field as the doctoral studies, such as: economics, law, political sciences, international relations, social science, language studies, education science, foreign language, communication science; b.
