The DATK Master of Science in Archeology study program is based on a curriculum with interdisciplinary content aimed at a comprehensive preparation of young professionals for the field of Archaeology. Since its creation, the lesson plans have been compiled according to the most contemporary approaches of both disciplines, aiming to provide students with basic knowledge through characteristic subjects and to train them in specific fields within the Archeology or TK profiles with interdisciplinary or supplementary subjects. Both disciplines of DATK in today's academic, scientific, educational, training and practical activity have acquired new dimensions fully integrated with the applications of natural sciences, architecture, anthropology, history, ancient Greco-Latin languages, studies on TK preservation and promotion strategies or legal and institutional implementations. Exactly in harmony with these dynamics, DATK offers students a complete and competitive program inside and outside the country's borders. The syllabi of each course are formulated according to the MAS format and focus on: - Learning methodology through the promotion of critical thinking. -Ability to work independently, work in groups (in writing or speaking). Course assignments or independent group work are the most effective practices in this area. -Skill in academic writing and familiarity with academic standards and professional ethics, encouragement of original work. -Practice in the laboratory, field or institutions and familiarization with the methodological applications of empirical data collection, their treatment and analysis. Students have the opportunity to practice methodological knowledge in museology, 3D data collection and analysis, Total Station (TST), GIS, use of drones and aerial photography, monitoring the excavation process or management of TK collections. - Knowledge and informative visits to TK institutions, archaeological sites, museums, conservation-restoration laboratories, or public and non-public projects. - familiarization with social and cultural issues of the time, awareness and civic education.
