Master of Science in Psychology - Clinical Counseling Psychology

The Clinical Counseling Psychology Master's Program provides rigorous training in basic areas of psychology and their application in assessment, counseling, and psychotherapeutic treatment. Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology are two sub disciplines that share much in common. One of the strengths of the Department of Psychology at Illinois State has been the presence of faculty who have been trained in Clinical Psychology and faculty who have been trained in Counseling Psychology. This has provided a valuable opportunity for collaboration and cooperation between faculty and students in these two closely related sub disciplines of psychology. The master's degree can be completed with two years of full time enrollment on campus.
