The PhD in Psychological Research program aims to train competent researchers for the development of Psychology as a science in contemporary research areas that solve the problems that afflict society and contribute to the construction of a more humane and equitable Mexico with greater psychological and social well-being. Specific objectives include: generating projects that contemplate diversity, multiculturalism, and the biopsychosocial needs of the communities; developing commitment and interest in research and interventions that benefit underprivileged sectors; AND training researchers capable of generating individual and joint publications, directing theses, producing technical reports, technical consultancies, among other research products.

 To be admitted into a graduate program, students must pass the Exam III (CENEVAL), which is an exam in Spanish required for admission. The exam may be taken at the IBERO or at CENEVAL centers throughout Mexico.

 International students who do not live in Mexico may take the exam after their arrival at the university on the first date the exam is offered at the university.
