The finance major provides students with a basic knowledge of corporate financial management, financial institutions, investments, real estate, and insurance. Completion of the appropriate finance electives qualifies the student to sit for the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Certification Examination, the examination requirement for Certified Financial Planner professionals. Finance is a challenging business field that centers on the critical management decisions faced by all organizations.
