The land surveyor education at Aalborg University is for you who want to stand strong with a broad education in design, mathematics, technology and law. You get the opportunity to combine theory and practice and work inside and out.
This applies, for example, when you as a land inspector must be involved in developing new urban and residential areas and at the same time take into account rising water level levels. Or it applies when you have to work with coastal protection, landscape development and nature management. Here you will work with the latest IT and satellite based technology; design and use of geographic information systems involved in planning and land management; as well as work on legislation and clarification of private rights.
Everyone knows what architects, engineers, urban planners and contractors do. Few people are aware that their projects are based on the surveyors' surveys, surveys, analyzes and recommendations. It is the work of the land surveyors that paves the way for the architectural and engineering feats that you can see and enjoy everywhere in Denmark. Today, tomorrow and for the future.

Admission to the bachelor's program presupposes fulfillment of the following requirements or documentation of equivalent qualifications:

  • Passed entrance exam
  • Dansk A
  • English B
  • Mathematics A with an average of at least 4.0

Good mathematical knowledge is recommended as a guide.  Our experience is that you get better through your studies when you have at least 7 in mathematics and with the potential to reach a 10 in your high school mathematics exam.

It is therefore recommended that you refresh your mathematics at A-level before starting studies at this program if you have grades of 7 or less in mathematics from your high school education, or if you have one or more years break between the matriculation exam and study start at the land surveyor program.
