At the bachelor's program in Physics, you get the opportunity to experiment and investigate the phenomena and contexts of nature. You learn to explain and analyze them theoretically in the language of mathematics using classical and modern physics.
The basic laws of nature make it possible to understand the world from the smallest in the form of elementary particles, atoms and molecules to the very largest - namely the universe itself.  Physics is also widely used to solve problems of a more technical nature, where physics often forms the basis of a new technology. Just look at basic insights gained by physicists that have led to the transistor, magnetic data storage, or optical communication. Physics will continue to make a crucial contribution to the development of the technology of the future, and you can be a part of that.

More programs from the university

Aalborg University offers interdisciplinary studies where bachelor courses (basic study programmes) are followed by masters and Ph.D. courses (subsequent specialisation). The university offers 10 different undergraduate programmes in English across five faculties:

  • The Faculty of Humanities
  • The Technical Faculty of IT and Design
  • The Faculty of Social Sciences
  • The Faculty of Engineering and Science
  • The Faculty of Medicine

Each of the five faculties has its own schools with full time bachelor education spanning over three years and designed to prepare students for master and Ph.D. education at a high academic and international level. Since the Ph.D. programmes are focussed on training researchers, students are researching independently and being actively involved in Aalborg’s research community.

All study programmes at AAU are based on a unique model of teaching and learning: the problem based and project organized model based on real life challanges, also referred to as "The PBL Model" and "The Aalborg Model". This model has become both nationally and internationally recognized as an advanced and efficient learning model, and ot is a trademark for Aalborg University.

Aalborg University is among the world's leading universities regarding research within health technology, wireless communication, energy, computer science, innovation economics, and comparative welfare studies.

More than 20.000 students are enrolled at Aalborg University, and approximately 10% of those are international students from countries all over the world. The university employs approximately 2.000 faculty staff and approximately 1.400 administrative/technical staff.
