General objective of Master in History of the Mexican Northeast and Texas
The general objective of the program is to train high-level historians capable of generating new knowledge about the history of northeastern Mexico and Texas, through participation in teaching, research and dissemination of history.
Directed to:
The Master's is aimed preferably at graduates of the Bachelor of History and of careers in the field of Social Sciences. However, applications are received from graduates of other careers. Their admission will be conditional on acceptance by the Academic Nucleus (NA) of the Master's Degree.
Curriculum model:
The Master's program in Northeast Mexican and Texas History at the Autonomous University of Coahuila is research-oriented and takes place over four semesters. During this period of time, 10 subjects are taken with a value of 123 credits. It was designed in such a way that it comprises three training areas that provide students with the theoretical and methodological tools for the development of historical research, and a research stay that has the purpose of promoting and enriching research skills and stimulating the mobility of the students. These areas, in turn, are organized in a way that favors the strengthening of precise knowledge.
