Develop competencies, aptitudes and abilities for the development of research projects that address the health-disease processes from the evaluation and clinical, psychosocial and psychoeducational intervention for the promotion of healthy lifestyles. To train doctors specialized in basic and applied research in health psychology, through procedures with methodological rigor, in clinical, social and / or educational contexts; with the purpose of contributing to the understanding and attention to health problems.
Graduate profile:
- In-depth knowledge of the psychological processes and models that support and explain health behavior.
- Specialized knowledge of current quantitative and qualitative research techniques and procedures applied to the field of health psychology.
- Aptitude for the development of original and specialized research on behavioral variables related to intervention in health and disease processes, from the cognitive-behavioral perspective, psychosocial intervention in health and education of healthy lifestyles and quality of life.
- Aptitude for the development of a line of research that is clear, precise and pertinent to the needs in terms of promoting healthy behaviors and lifestyles, as well as the quality of life in different groups and contexts of the population.
- Skills for the structuring and construction of relevant academic products that allow the scientific dissemination of impact, quality and according to the criteria established by international bodies, repositories and databases.
- Ethical attitude for the elaboration of intervention protocols and investigation of the health-disease processes from the cognitive behavioral perspective, the psychosocial intervention in health and the education of healthy lifestyles and quality of life.
