Admission requirements

For UAH Sociology students (via special admission), the requirements are:
  • Undergraduate grades (equal to or greater than 5.0).
  • Preliminary thesis proposal that allows to evaluate the clarity regarding a research topic.

For graduates of Sociology from other Universities
  • Undergraduate grades (equal to or greater than 5.0).
  • Demonstrable academic experience (conducting teaching or research assistantships, participation in dissemination or extension activities of the discipline).

For professionals from other disciplines
  • Undergraduate grades (placement level in your promotion).
  • Work experience or career that demonstrates the contribution that postgraduate training in sociology would have.
