The Master's program in Prevention, Urban Security and Criminal Policy is the first program at the national level to comprehensively address violence, crime and urban conflicts; promoting the development of knowledge, skills and specific competencies for the design, management and evaluation of quality policies, programs and initiatives in these areas.
The program has a professional orientation that allows its students to obtain specific tools for the design, implementation and evaluation of urban security policies at different levels of government.
The program has a multidisciplinary teaching body of excellence, with a vast and outstanding professional career at the national and international level.
This master's degree is developed by the Urban Security Center, one of the prestigious institutions at the national level in the development of knowledge and advice on urban security and prevention policy.
The program is designed to be developed in three semesters concentrating a large part of its subjects in a first year and dedicating the third semester to the completion of degree work.
The graduation activity is equivalent to a final project where students will be able to design or evaluate a program or policy on urban security and / or criminal policy, allowing reflective work linked to their interests and professional development contexts.
